TVS Records Launches Gum Drop Hip Hop Series With A Reimagined 'Rapper's Delight' With the Skool O' Foolz

When rap music was introduced commercially by Sugar Hill Records in 1979, the phrase 'Hip Hop' was introduced to American culture. It was meant to be fun, party music for kids but eventually morphed into the coarse 'street' music that it is today. Sugar Hill Records owner Joe Robinson was always frustrated - and saddened- that others took the concept and changed it from the hip hop fun music it was intended to be.

Today TVS Records is honoring Joe Robinson's vision by creating 'Gum Drop Hip Hop' music for kids to recapture the fun of  break dancing, roller skating, and hop scotch based tunes for todays kids.

The first Gum Drop Hip Hop group, Skool O' Foolz, has introduced the first Gum Drop Hip Hop song, a new version of Rapper's Delight. Again set to the tune of the disco hit 'Good Times', the Skool of Foolz takes the music world 'back to the future' with this initial release.

Finally, some kids music that parents will enjoy as well!
